I lost my longing for you baby
Just when I’ll never know
Those stirring tremors you once gave me
Have vanished far below.
I don’t know how it came to this
Love’s meant to be lifelong
Those tender thoughts that should exist
Have melted in the sun.
Where’s that volcano of love
That answered every prayer
Volcano of love
That sparkled in your hair
Volcano of love
That held us in its arms
It’s cooling down
Deep underground
I miss those fire alarms.
Return my feelings for you baby
It’s here that they belong
For lying by my side you save me
When we mould into one.
The sparks that flew when we first kissed
Like lightning striking snow
Made us unable to resist
Love’s pyroclastic flow.
Where’s that volcano of love
That set us both alight
Volcano of love
That flared up every night
Volcano of love
That flung us both so high
It plunged to earth
And needs rebirth
To blaze across the sky.
We need to find a new path baby
A better way to go
To rekindle the love you gave me
And make the embers glow.
Like lava we would spit and hiss
And both come on too strong
We’d let off steam and buck and fizz
Each knowing we were wrong.

It heaved and blew its top.
