Deadline – So don’t get in my way

I’ve never had so much to do and so much left to say

Deadline – I can’t go out and play

My homework’s almost overdue I’ve only got today.

I can’t afford to go outside

I’ve got too much to lose

I can’t escape I cannot hide

Or let my focus cruise.

The pressure’s building up inside

I can’t ignore the clues

I hope my butterflies subside

Before I blow a fuse.

Deadline – I’ve got to keep my cool

I’ve got to make each moment count to prove I’m not a fool

Deadline – I’ve set myself this rule

To meet and beat each challenge every day I’m back at school.
